During the American Revolutionary War, tea became a scarce and costly luxury, forcing British Loyalists and colonists alike to stretch their supplies. Resourceful tea drinkers blended dried fruits—such as apples and black currants—with their tea to extend their precious reserves. Inspired by this practice, Prince George combines robust gunpowder green tea with the natural sweetness of dried apples and the rich depth of black currants. The result is a delicately fruity, lightly astringent cup that transports you to colonial America—no matter which side of history you’re on.
